Judging Process

The India Digital Awards nominees and winners are selected by members of the Jury from the best work entered through the call for entries.

Screening Entries

The nominees and winners of the awards are selected by members of the Jury from the best work entered through the call for entries. The awardees of this coveted trophy are selected through an extensive selection process. Jury members will independently inspect each entry and rate them based on their respective judging criteria. Those entries that do not fulfill the criteria shall be disqualified. India Digital Awards shall not be liable to give any explanation to anyone for disqualification of entries.

Jury Judging Criteria for each category

 Scoring is based on the scale of 1 to 10 – 1 being lowest and 10 being highest

Digital Advertising Awards

The jury shall evaluate entries based on five criteria:

i.Creativity and Innovation: Jury shall focus on few elements of the campaign like content, design, technological innovation, and the unique nature of the underlying idea. It includes writing, music, and relevant use of animation, video or anything that communicates a creative marketing message.

ii.Execution: Jury shall focus on linking the purpose and effect between objectives, strategy and results of the campaign. Additional factors to be considered shall be effective use of resources, technology and implementation of the campaign.

iii.Results: Jury shall evaluate campaign on the basis of the results of the campaign based on whether the campaign achieved desired results, whether it was able to reach to target audience or on any other statistic which will help in proving the results of the campaign.

iv.Overall experience: An entry should demonstrate frequently may be more or less than the sum of its parts. The overall experience shall include creativity, content, structure, visual design, functionality, and interactivity.

v.Strategy: An entry should demonstrate approach to the overall purpose and target audience throughout each elements of the campaign.

Content Marketing Awards

The jury shall evaluate entries based on five criteria:

i.Creativity and Innovation: Jury shall focus on few elements of the campaign like content, design, technological innovation, and the unique nature of the underlying idea. It includes writing, music, and relevant use of animation, video or anything that communicates a creative marketing message.

ii.Execution: Jury shall focus on linking the purpose and effect between objectives, strategy and results of the campaign. Additional factors to be considered shall be effective use of resources, technology and implementation of the campaign.

iii.Results: Jury shall evaluate campaign on the basis of the results of the campaign based on whether the campaign achieved desired results, whether it was able to reach to target audience or on any other statistic which will help in proving the results of the campaign.

iv.Overall experience: An entry should demonstrate frequently may be more or less than the sum of its parts. The overall experience shall include creativity, content, structure, visual design, functionality, and interactivity.

v.Strategy: An entry should demonstrate approach to the overall purpose and target audience throughout each elements of the campaign.

Website Awards

The jury shall evaluate entries based on six criteria:

i. Content: Content is the information provided on the site. It includes text, sound, animation, video or anything that communicates a sites body of knowledge. Good content should be engaging, relevant and appropriate for the audience.

ii. Structure and Navigation: Structure and navigation refers to the framework of a site, the organization of content, the prioritization of information and the method in which you move through the site.

iii. Visual Design: Visual design is the appearance of the site. Good visual is high quality, appropriate and relevant for the audience and the message it is supporting.

iv. Functionality: Functionality is the use of technology on the site. Good functionality means the site works well. It loads quickly, has live links, and any new technology used is functional and relevant for the intended audience.

v. Interactivity: Interactivity is the way that a site allows you to do something. Good interactivity is more than a rollover or choosing what a click on next; it allows you, as a user, to give and receive.

vi. Overall Experience: A site should demonstrate frequently more or less the sum of their parts, the overall experience encompasses content, structure and navigation, visual design, functionality and interactivity, but it also includes the intangibles that make one stay or leave. 

Mobile Awards

The jury shall evaluate entries based on five criteria:

i. Content, Creativity and Innovation: Jury shall focus on few elements of the entry like content, design, technological innovation, and the unique nature of the underlying idea. It includes writing, music, and relevant use of animation, video or anything that is used for the project, app or service.

ii. Execution: Jury shall focus on linking the purpose and effect between objectives, strategy and results of the project. Additional factors to be considered shall be effective use of resources, technology and implementation of the campaign.

iii. Results: Jury shall evaluate entry on the basis of the results of the project based on return on investment, benefits to individual users or to enterprises as a whole or any other statistic, which will help in proving the results of the campaign.

iv. User Interface: Ease of usage, interactivity, good quality audio and visuals, and overall user interface.

v. Overall Experience: An entry should demonstrate frequently may be more or less than the sum of its parts. The overall experience shall include creativity, content, structure, visual design, functionality, ease of use and interactivity. 

Payment Awards

The jury shall evaluate entries based on five criteria:

i. Innovation: The Jury shall focus on the technological innovation, pre-emptive approach, problem identification-problem solving measures and creative application of concepts in the programme/product/service.

ii. Ease of use/accessibility: The Jury shall focus on how convenient the programme/product/service has proved for the users in terms of accessibility and utility.

iii. Reach and engagement: How extensively did the programme/product/service reach out to the customers and engaged them, and how well was it accepted across various target groups.

iv. Strategy & Execution: How effective were the strategies and activities implemented in terms of marketing, operation and execution of the programme/product/service.

v. Results: Jury shall evaluate entry on the basis of the results of the project based on return on investment, benefits to individual users or to enterprises as a whole or any other statistic, which will help in proving the results of the product/service/programme.

Digital Social and Economic Empowerment Awards

The jury shall evaluate entries based on five criteria:

i.Innovation: The Jury shall focus on the technological innovation, preemptive approach,problem identification-problem solving measures and creative application of conceptsin the programme/product/service.

ii.Ease of use/accessibility: The Jury shall focus on how convenient theprogramme/product/service has proved for the users in terms of accessibility andutility.

iii.Reach and engagement: How extensively did the programme/product/service reachout to the customers and engaged them, and how well was it accepted across varioustarget groups.

iv. Strategy & Execution: How effective were the strategies and activities implemented in terms of meticulous strategizing and execution of the programme/product/service.

v. Empowerment: Jury shall evaluate entry on the basis of the results of the project based on the benefits to individual users or to enterprises as a whole, or any other statistic, which will help in proving the social and/or economic assistance meted out to the consumers through the use of the product/service/programme.
